HELP RAISE FUNDS
FOR THE GIRLS IN ELMINA

During our Founder, Aisha Abdul Rahman’s trip to Ghana in January of 2021, she took a tour of Elmina Bantuma Basic School, where she visited a classroom of about 15-20 girls learning textiles and sewing, however there were no sewing machines for the girls to practice and get hands on experience. Unfortunately, unless children attend private school, this is very typical, courses like these are all theory due to the lack of resources for hands on learning.

When Aisha returned to the US, she suggested that we use this years event as an opportunity to also raise funds for the girls sewing machines for their classroom. It is our goal to make enough money to purchase 15-20 sewing machines.

You can support this fundraiser by purchasing a VIP ticket for the event or making a donation.

The Legacy Designs Studio, Juneteenth, Black Lives Matter Virtual Art Exhibition takes place this year from June 15th-21st, 2021.

Last years event aka experiment was well received and so we decided to continue with another this year, with hopes to make it a regular event that we host each and every year.

Frankfurt Motor Show: the coolest and craziest cars of tomorrow

Getting a lot of attention at the Frankfurt auto show was the Porsche Mission E, a futuristic, sleek, fully electric sports car from the German luxury car maker. Unlike anything on the road at the moment, it has no rear view mirrors, but instead relies on cameras to cover the blind spots. Capable of travelling 500 km on a single charge, it can replenish its batteries within minutes.

A taste of the car of the future according to its maker: “Since with a concept car you would like to really give a glimpse of the future, you have as a designer much more freedom. You can dare to do things that at least nowadays are not yet legal, but you hope that they will become legal in the future. So we have more freedom,” says chief designer Michael Mauer.
