Legacy Libray collections are curated to provide online, public discovery, engagement, and use of historical records collections for historical, creative, documentary, and genealogical research.
Our collections include historical documents such as narratives of those enslaved, juneteenth also known as Jubilee Day, Freedman’s Records, Dawes Rolls, enslaved ship manifest, Black Wall Street, and more.

Historical documents provide insights, perspectives, and ways to get as close as possible to the time and place in which the event occurred. These can be photos, audio recordings or interviews, inventory documents, census, or live birth records.
Having access to a historical record or document is like having the keys to travel through time.
